Richard “Boz” Bosworth, president and CEO of JC Hospitality and Virgin Hotels Las Vegas, speaks with reporters during a news conference at the Virgin Hotels Las Vegas porte cochere Thursday, Sept. 24, 2020.

The twice-delayed opening of Virgin Hotels Las Vegas has been reset for March 25, said Richard "Boz" Bosworth, president and CEO of JC Hospitality, owner of the off-Strip property.

“It has been a journey, but to finally reach this milestone and confidently announce our opening date would not be possible without our incredible partners and construction team,” Bosworth said in a statement.

The resort at the former Hard Rock on Paradise Road was initially expected to open in November, but that date was pushed back to Jan. 15. The opening was then delayed again because of the coronavirus pandemic.

“Today, we are not only celebrating the fact that we finally get to welcome back guests to the most exciting resort to open in Las Vegas in years, but we also get to bring our team members back to work,” Bosworth said.

The Virgin property will feature three hotel towers with over 1,500 rooms, a 5-acre pool complex, a 4,500-seat theater, 650-seat showroom and a dozen restaurants and bars. Mohegan Gaming and Entertainment will operate a 60,000-square-foot casino.
