The Golden Knights can have fans back at T-Mobile Arena next week.

The team’s plan to reopen the arena to spectators for March 1 was approved by the Nevada Department of Business and Industry today, a department spokeswoman confirmed. The Golden Knights can hold up to 15% capacity, or about 2,600 fans.

A Golden Knights spokesman said details about ticket sales will be released later this week.

The Golden Knights have played 11 home games in front of an empty T-Mobile Arena because of state restrictions on large gatherings. Gov. Steve Sisolak announced on Feb. 11 that organizations can submit plans to bring back gatherings, and the Golden Knights confirmed last week they were looking to do so.

In the governor’s announcement, he said large gatherings cannot begin before March 1. The Golden Knights have a home game against the Minnesota Wild that day, and another on March 3.

Vegas for three years has not failed to sell out a home game and is considered to have one of the loudest fan bases in the NHL. Tickets on the secondary market are, on average, some of the most expensive in the league.

The Golden Knights have played two games this season in front of fans, both road games in Arizona against the Coyotes.

The Golden Knights play tonight in Colorado, on Thursday in San Jose and on Saturday in Anaheim before returning home on March 1. Vegas has 17 home games remaining this season.
