Vegas Golden Knights fans celebrate a 5-1 win over the Nashville Predators at T-Mobile Arena Saturday, Jan. 16, 2019.

The Golden Knights will welcome fans back to T-Mobile Arena on Monday. Getting a ticket won’t be easy though.

The Golden Knights are selling about 2,600 tickets, or 15% capacity, to their seven home games in March, starting with Monday’s game against the Wild. Most of the tickets will be allocated to the team’s season-ticket holders, but the team will reserve an “extremely limited” number for the public.

Tickets for season-ticket holders will go on sale at 9 a.m. Wednesday, followed by a public offering at 10 a.m. Thursday. Single-game suite sales will begin at 9 a.m. Friday.

“We acknowledge and understand that it’s an imperfect situation that we’re in,” said Todd Pollock, Golden Knights vice president of ticketing and suites. “The great thing is we have so many members and so many fans that want to come to games. The downside is that we just don’t even have enough seats with 17,000 seats in a normal setting, let alone at a 15% capacity.

“We think this is the most equitable way to get it out to as many of our fans as possible.”

Season-ticket holders will get first crack at tickets and will be limited to one of the seven March home games in order to accommodate the close to 14,000 season-ticket holders the team has. Priority will start with full-season holders, followed by partial and down the list until the team’s wait list.

At that point, the remainder will be sold to the public. While the anticipation is that season-ticket holders will make up most of the purchases, the team has committed to reserving some for the public.

“We are setting aside a portion of our 2,600 to ensure that when we go on sale Thursday, it’s not all for naught,” Pollock said.

Starting Monday, the Golden Knights will have about 2,200 fans in the lower bowl, upper bowl and mezzanine levels, with about 375 people allowed in the arena’s 44 suites.

The arena will have strict COVID-19 protocols. Seats will be sold in “pods” of two, four or six tickets and people will be limited to their pods and cannot split them at time of purchase. All fans, including season-ticket holders, are limited to buying tickets in one pod for one game at a time.

Masks must be worn while not actively eating or drinking, and symptom checks will be administered. Fans who buy tickets will be given suggested arrival times, and fans will be dismissed by section after the game. No bags, including clutches or purses, will be permitted.

The Golden Knights are currently only selling tickets to their seven March home games, with the expectation that tickets will be available for April and May home games at a later date.

Ticketing plans for Silver Knights games have not been finalized, but the hope is to have fans at Orleans Arena before the end of March.

Fans with questions are encouraged to call the Golden Knights ticketing office at 702-645-4259.
