Chicago is back at the Venetian this fall.

As reported on this week’s Sun on the Strip podcast, Chicago is returning to the Venetian Theatre for a three-show engagement on September 15, 17 and 18. Tickets are on sale now and they start at $49.95. Chicago now looks like the first concerts back at the Venetian, joining the rescheduled dates for ZZ Top in that room in October.

The next scheduled event with a live audience at T-Mobile Arena has been pushed to 2022. A concert by André Rieu and his Johann Strauss Orchestra had been on the calendar for February and is now set for March 18, 2022. All tickets for previously scheduled dates will be honored. Now the event to watch the PBR Global Cup, set for April 16-17. That’s not including Vegas Golden Knights games that are ongoing at T-Mobile, currently without fans in seats.

The Smith Center for the Performing Arts will celebrate Valentine’s Day with a series of new virtual events and performances. Pianist and songwriter Jim Brickman, a regular at the venue’s Myron’s Cabaret Jazz space, will perform five “Share The Love” live concerts, on February 12 at 6 p.m., February 13 at 4 and 7 p.m., and February 14 at 4 and 7 p.m., with tickets ranging between $40 and $50. Grammy-nominated sax man Dave Koz and R&B singer and songwriter Brian McKnight will team up for “A Romantic Night In” on February 13 at 5 p.m. with tickets set at $35 and special VIP experiences including meet-and-greets also available. And singer-songwriter Jesus Bienvenido will present two “Carnival by Candlelight from Cadiz” shows from the southwest coast of Spain on February 14 at noon and 6 p.m. with tickets ranging from $15 to $20. A portion of the proceeds from all performances will be donated to The Smith Center and tickets and more information can be found at thesmithcenter.com.

The Cork & Thorn wine bar downtown on Imperial Avenue has been serving up live R&B and soul music as well as open mic spoken word events Thursdays through Saturdays, and now it’s adding another weekly event starring one of Las Vegas’ favorite singers. Skye Dee Miles is bringing “Bourbon & Blues” every Wednesday night from 9 to 11 p.m. For more info, visit corkandthorn.com.

What’s on tap for live entertainment this weekend? John Krause of “American Idiot” performs tonight at 6 p.m. at the Space, with livestream pay-per-view tickets set at $25 and available at thespacelv.com. On Saturday, Broadway’s Syndee Winters and Grammy-winning bassist Ben Williams play the hits at the Space at 6 p.m. with virtual tickets at $20 at the same web address. Serena Henry sings supper-club-style at the Vegas Room at 8 p.m. Friday and Saturday, and Miles is back for Sunday brunch at 1 p.m. And get your blues fix tonight at 9 p.m. with Thee Mess Arounds at the Sand Dollar Lounge.

After the weekend, Monday is a great day for Vegas livestreaming as Mondays Dark returns at 8 p.m. and Santa Fe and the Fat City Horns are playing from the Bootlegger at 6 p.m.
