I know that the present administration does not like pipelines. However, with all the talk about infrastructure spending, why not build a pipeline from the areas of the United States that get flooded every year to the areas that are constantly suffering from drought?
When it starts raining in a flood-prone area, the pumps could start up and move the water to lakes and reservoirs in the West to be used when needed.
The feds could probably get insurance companies to kick in part of the cost.
