A man stopped by Metro Police in a stolen vehicle Monday night in south Las Vegas died while in custody, authorities said.
The vehicle stop occurred about 6 p.m. near Russell Road and Decatur Boulevard, Capt. Hector Cintron said.
Two men in the stolen car were taken into custody without incident, Cintron said. One of them, however, went into "medical distress," Cintron said.
That person was declared dead at Spring Valley Hospital, Cintron said. He did not discuss additional details about the incident.
The Clark County Coroner's Office will identify the deceased person.
