A man shot three of his wife's friends, killing one of them, Monday night after a domestic dispute in a Green Valley neighborhood, according to Henderson Police.

The suspect, Andre Andrews, who was hospitalized with a head injury, was booked in absentia at the Henderson Detention Center on a count of murder, two counts of attempted murder and a count of domestic battery, police said.

After a physical altercation with his wife, Andrews, 39, left the house and his wife summoned a friend for help, police said.

Andrews returned and shot the friend in the face, gravely wounding her, police said.

That’s when two other friends, both 21-year-old men, jumped in to try to take Andrews’ gun, but both were shot in the stomach during the struggle, police said.

The three gunshot victims and Andrews were taken to Sunrise Hospital and Medical Center, where the woman subsequently died, police said.

This was the seventh homicide in Henderson this year.
