Nearly 2 million doses of the COVID-19 vaccine have been distributed in Nevada. We’re rapidly approaching the vaccination of nearly half of all Nevadans — a feat that seemed impossible even this time last year. It wouldn’t have been possible without Gov. Steve Sisolak’s steady hand and unwavering leadership from the first moments that the coronavirus arrived in our state.
The governor has fought tirelessly to ensure that the heroes who have helped our state get through this historic crisis are able to receive a life-saving vaccine. He’s led the way in ensuring that our teachers, our grocery store workers, our nurses and doctors — and all Nevadans who choose to be vaccinated — can be.
It is through leadership like this that we are on track to fully reopen our state at 100% capacity by June 1. We will all soon be back to work, back to school and back to normal.
Thanks to Sisolak’s steady hand and willingness to step up to the plate to take difficult but necessary action, our state is ready to reopen and recover.
