LETTER TO THE EDITOR:

Protect our wondrous lands

Our state is lucky to have unique natural wonders and vast landscapes. They make Nevada such a special place to live, work and explore.

Get Outdoors Nevada wants to see these special places protected long into the future and is pleased that Sen. Catherine Cortez Masto, D-Nev., and Rep. Dina Titus, D-Nev., recognize that need as well. They recently introduced legislation that would protect 2 million acres of public land in our state — the largest conservation proposal in our state’s history. Their bill addresses key community needs while offering strong protections for places like the Desert National Wildlife Refuge and Red Rock Canyon.

I am grateful to the sponsors of this legislation and add my name to the long list of supporters who want to see this effort move forward.
