A woman was slain Friday afternoon in what Metro Police are describing as a domestic disturbance at a motel just east of the Las Vegas Strip.
The victim, who died from unknown injuries, had not been identified as of Friday evening, Lt. Richard Meyers said.
The incident was reported about 2:40 p.m. at a Motel 6 at 195 E. Tropicana Ave., near Koval Lane.
Officers arrived to find a dynamic scene and initially believed the suspect — described by Meyers as a Black man in his 20s who stands about 6 feet tall — was barricaded in a unit.
In reality, he had fled north, on foot, Meyers said.
The woman who was found outside died at the scene, Meyers said.
