A wrong-way driver killed Sunday in a crash on Interstate 15 near Valley of Fire State Park has been identified as Cristal Velazquez, 29, of Las Vegas, the Nevada Highway Patrol said today.
The crash occurred about 6:15 a.m. some 40 miles north of Las Vegas, the patrol said.
Velazquez was headed south in a northbound lane when the Honda Civic she was driving hit a tractor-trailer head-on, the patrol said. She died at the scene, the patrol said.
