Desert Pines’ Ferrari Busby rushed for 149 yards and a touchdown on 23 carries tonight and the Jaguars closed the game with 20 unanswered points in beating Faith Lutheran, 35-14.
“The game got interesting in the second half. They played with a lot of momentum,” Desert Pines coach Tico Rodriguez said.
Quarterback Michael Kerns completed 14 of 19 passes for 132 yards and two touchdowns for Desert Pines, and also rushed for a touchdown and 94 yards. Greg Burrell closed the scoring with a 4-yard touchdown run.
For Faith Lutheran, Rylan Walter passed for a touchdown to Jaden Turner, and Drais Bellamy contributed a rushing score.
