Metro looking for suspect in central Las Vegas homicide

Metro Police are seeking a suspect after a man was found dead following a dispute in the central valley Saturday morning.

Officers responded to a reported shooting in the 4600 block of West Drake Circle at 12:58 a.m., Metro said in a news release. Arriving officers found an unresponsive man with a gunshot wound laying in the street. Medical personnel pronounced the man dead at the scene.

A preliminary investigation by homicide detectives indicated the victim arrived in the area to meet with another subject regarding an ongoing dispute, according to the release. During the encounter, the subject produced a handgun, shot the victim and fled.

A description of the subject was not given. The matter remains an ongoing investigation, police said.
