Fire at gas station does $3 million in damage

A fire at a gas station just east of McCarran International Airport caused an estimated $3 million in damage, according to the Clark County Fire Department.

Nobody was injured, and the cause of the blaze is under investigation, officials said.

The fire was reported about 3 a.m. in the 6100 block of Pecos Road near Patrick Lane. Heavy smoke and flames were coming from the front fo the single-story building, officials said.

Firefighters found an attic fire that had extended through the roof, officials said.
