Police: Man fatally stabbed after argument on bus in Las Vegas

A man was fatally stabbed Thursday after getting into an argument with a person on a public bus, according to Metro Police.

The suspect, Emanuel Beccles, 31, was arrested and booked at the Clark County Detention Center on a count of open murder, police said.

The incident happened about 6:40 p.m. in the 4600 block of South Maryland Parkway, near East Harmon Avenue, police said.

Beccles and the other man were on the bus when they got into a verbal dispute, police said. After getting off the bus, the dispute escalated into a fight, and Beccles stabbed the man, police said.

The man suffered multiple stab wounds and was taken to Sunrise Hospital and Medical Center, where he was pronounced dead, according to police. His name was not immediately released.

A security officer, who was not identified, witnessed the incident and detained Beccles until officers arrived, police said.
