Fire crews responded to a mobile home fire Saturday night at 2120 Ash St. in Logandale, where one person was found dead Monday.

One person was found dead Monday after rescuers responded to a mobile home fire Saturday evening in Logandale, according to a news release from Moapa Valley Fire District.

Firefighters responded to 2120 Ash St. to find the mobile home with a basement fully engulfed in flames 7:49 p.m. Saturday night, according to the release.

Due to the intensity of the fire, lack of access to the structure, large amounts of ammunition actively discharging and the large amount of personal belongings in and around the structure, crews were forced to fight the fire from the outside, the release stated.

Though during the incident, it was reported that the homeowner was possibly inside the structure, crews were unable to enter to conduct a search due to the compromised structural integrity of the home’s main floor and the fear of collapse, according to the release.

Crews conducted a search Sunday for the homeowner but did not find anything. On Monday, search crews found a body while conducting an outdoor search, the release stated. The case has been turned over to the Clark County Coroner’s Office for identifying the body and determining the cause of death.

Officials are investigating.
