Can the hard-right portion of the Republican Party be trusted to run the United States? This is a question that every voter should ask and consider.
I ask this because for the most part, we accept democracy as a given but never pay much attention to how it affects our lives.
If the far right were in control, would they change the laws to be drawn up by the 5% of people who control most of the U.S. currency? Would they stop paying any taxes and place that burden on the other 95%?
Would health care be something of the past? Would Big Pharma get bigger and stronger?
Would you be put to death or in confinement if you spoke out against those in power? Do you want every move you make to be controlled by those in power?
That is what you may be looking forward to if the wrong faction controls our government. Now we must confront the folks who are living the lie that the election was stolen from former President Donald Trump. The majority of them fall under three categories: power-hungry politician; old, bull-headed, uneducated person; or religious to the point that they black out all the good things they get from our democracy.
What side of a civil war would you fight for?
