Barry Manilow returns to his successful Westgate Las Vegas residency this week

Looking for some great midweek entertainment in Las Vegas right now? The Righteous Brothers are back at their recurring gig at the South Point Showroom February 9 and 10. Colin Cahill, one of the stars of “Atomic Saloon Show” at the Palazzo, moonlights at the Star Piano Cocktail Lounge just off the Strip tonight, February 9. And the one and only Sammy Hagar returns to the Strat Theater on February 9 to rock his way into the weekend, when he plays again February 11 and 12.

And then there’s “MJ Live,” reopened this week at the Tropicana, the long-running Michael Jackson tribute show that moved south on the Strip after performing for several years at the Strat. It continues with 5:30 p.m. performances every Wednesday through Monday in the Tropicana Theater, which is now absolutely packed with Vegas fun thanks to “Legends in Concert” at the 7:30 slot and Prince tribute “Purple Reign” clocking in at 9:30. And speaking of “Legends,” the new “Legendary Divas” version made international headlines this week by offering free tickets to anyone who had purchased Strip residency show tickets for postponed productions from Adele (at Caesars Palace) or Celine Dion (at Resorts World). Those two superstars are represented in “Legendary Divas,” thanks to stellar showings from singers Janae Longo and Elisa Furr, respectively.

Barry Manilow, who is back at his Westgate International Theater residency this weekend, February 10-12 as well as February 17-19, has further extended his latest Las Vegas stay. New dates announced this week for “Manilow Las Vegas: The Hits Come Home” are May 5-7 and 26-28, and June 9-11. Tickets for these performances are on sale now.

Other Vegas events announced this week include: Comedians Cedric the Entertainer and Tony Rock will take over the Amp at Craig Ranch in North Las Vegas on March 5; The Killers come back home on April 15 for a concert at the Chelsea; An acoustic performance by rock band NeedToBreathe is set for the Venetian Theatre on April 29; UB40 will bring the summer vibes to Mandalay Bay Beach on May 14; Derek Hough restarts his “No Limit” dance show residency on May 18 at the Summit Showroom at Venetian, continuing through September 10; Russell Peters will bring the laughter to Encore Theater at Wynn Las Vegas on June 18; The Lumineers will bring their Brightside World Tour to MGM Grand Garden Arena on July 24; Nine Inch Nails will play Zappos Theater at Planet Hollywood on September 15; And The Who, rock gods who last played Vegas with a limited engagement at the Colosseum at Caesars Palace, will land at Park MGM’s Dolby Live November 4 and 5 as part of their newly announced 2022 North American tour dubbed “The Who Hits Back!”
