Recent deaths from drug overdoses in which illegal drugs contained too much fentanyl are more victims of our failed war on drugs.
The local prosecutor wants to charge the seller of the drugs with murder. This is just electioneering, as it does nothing to help the situation.
Recent deaths from no-knock drug searches are more victims of our war on drugs. Because drugs are illegal, we have drug cartels and gang wars with more murder.
Let’s face it, because of the profits from the illegal sale of drugs and the necessity of addicts to get drugs, laws are not going to make the problem disappear. No one wants to see people wasting their lives addicted to drugs, but we need to find a better way to solve the medical problem of addiction.
