The Plaza will once again celebrate the Fourth of July with a downtown fireworks show.

The long, hot holiday weekend concludes tonight as several casinos have planned massive fireworks shows, weather permitting, which should fill the desert sky with loud, colorful fun. On the Las Vegas Strip, Caesars Entertainment will provide a fireworks spectacular starting at 8:30 p.m., deployed from the Julius hotel tower of Caesars Palace, at the heart of the Strip at Flamingo Boulevard.

Last year, several Strip resorts planned a coordinated show, but this year, the eight-minute event from Fireworks by Grucci will be concentrated at Caesars Palace. Nearby pedestrian bridges and restaurant and bar patios with Strip frontage are great places to get a closer view. Some venues like Margaritaville at the Flamingo and Beer Park at Paris Las Vegas are selling tickets to Fourth of July parties that provide excellent views, so don’t be surprised if Strip spots like them are sold out.

The Plaza, the downtown casino resort carrying much buzz these days thanks to the recent opening of the Sand Dollar live music bar and announced plans to reimagine its Main Street façade and porte cochere, will once again light up the sky with the only fireworks show in the downtown area at 9 p.m. The rooftop pool will host an Independence Day party featuring a DJ, barbecue and cocktail specials from noon until 6 p.m., with the space reopening at 7:30 p.m. for a private party for hotel guests only. Staged from multiple locations on the Plaza’s roofs and hotel towers, the fireworks will be visible for miles.

And Station Casinos will also be firing off a Fireworks by Grucci presentation at 9 p.m. from six of its neighborhood properties, blanketing the valley in Fourth of July fervor. Boulder Station on the east side, Green Valley Ranch Resort in Henderson, Palace Station just west of the Strip, Red Rock Casino Resort in Summerlin, Santa Fe Station in northwest Vegas, and Sunset Station in Henderson are all ready to launch. Expect parking garage rooftops in the vicinity to be full of cars and families watching the fireworks.

The City of Henderson will provide a fireworks display at 9 p.m. at Heritage Park on Racetrack Road as part of its Fourth of July celebration, which also features a concert from country band Lonestar at 7:30 p.m. Gates open at 6 p.m. and admission is free. In conjunction with the city’s celebration, Lake Las Vegas and the M Resort are also launching fireworks at 9 p.m.

Boulder City's fireworks display begins at 9 p.m. at Veterans' Memorial Park to finish the 74th annual Boulder City Damboree, the city's all-day celebration with a community breakfast and parade.
