President Donald Trump arrives at McCarran International Airport in Las Vegas, Saturday, Sept. 12, 2020.

Former President Donald Trump will make a stopover this weekend in Las Vegas to campaign for Republicans in races at the top of Nevada’s ballots this fall.

Trump will speak Friday on behalf of Sheriff Joe Lombardo, the GOP nominee for governor, and former Nevada Attorney General Adam Laxalt, who is seeking election to the U.S. Senate, according to a news release issued Tuesday afternoon by Trump’s Save America PAC. The event will begin at 5 p.m. Friday at Treasure Island with a panel discussion featuring Lombardo and Laxalt. Trump, who has endorsed both candidates, is scheduled to “deliver remarks on the America First Agenda” at 6 p.m.

The statement did not include ticketing information for voters wanting to attend.

Lombardo is seeking to unseat Democratic incumbent Gov. Steve Sisolak in November while Laxalt will face Democratic incumbent Sen. Catherine Cortez Masto.
