Usher made a major impact on the Las Vegas Strip last year when he debuted his first residency show at the Colosseum at Caesars Palace. Now, he’s back with a different production moving over to Dolby Live at Park MGM, and it premieres tonight. Read what the R&B artist has to say about the show in Las Vegas Weekly’s exclusive interview, then get your tickets asap. And if you can’t make it this weekend, consider these other entertainment options.

MACHINE GUN KELLY Whether or not you’re a fan of this rapper’s evolution into a rock star, it’s clear that MGK has been a major part of the recent resurgence of pop-punk and emo-rock. And his Mainstream Sellout Tour stop at T-Mobile Arena features special guests Avril Lavigne and Willow Smith, two more significant contributors to these angsty musical genres. JOHN LLOYD YOUNG The talented, Tony Award-winning vocalist and actor from “Jersey Boys” continues his series of performances at the Space with a set of most-requested hit-song favorites Friday night. Expect to hear him hit those high notes a few times, and likely mix in some of his own favorite tunes as well. July 15, thespacelv.com.

JOURNEY Just this month, the classic rock favorites released their 15th studio album “Freedom,” priming the band for an epic tour. Frequent visitors to Las Vegas, Journey will play its first shows at Resorts World Theatre this weekend and next weekend, backed by a full symphony orchestra. July 15-16, rwlasvegas.com.
