Metro Police seek suspect in attempted murder case in Sun City Summerlin area

Metro Police are seeking a suspect in an attempted murder and robbery incident that occurred Sunday in the Sun City Summerlin area, they announced in a news release.

Police responded to the report of a robbery at a residence in the 2800 block of Faiss Drive at about 2:30 p.m. As the alleged victim was returning home, a suspect approached him in his garage and demanded property. The victim fled and the suspect allegedly attempted to shoot him, but the firearm failed to fire, the report states. The suspect then ran to a vehicle parked nearby and fled the area.

Home security video captured part of the incident, which the department has posted on YouTube.

Police are looking for a suspect, age 18-25, driving a newer model black Sedan with black wheels and dark tinted windows, the release states.
