A person was taken to a Las Vegas hospital today after a shooting in the east valley, according to Metro Police.
The shooting was reported about 3 p.m. in the 500 block of Wardelle Street, near Cedar Avenue and Mojave Road, police said.
Officers found a person suffering multiple gunshot wounds, police said.
The victim, who was not identified, was taken to University Medical Center, police said. Their condition was not released.
Officers were trying to locate a suspect or suspects, police said. Metro asked people to avoid the area until the investigation is concluded. No timetable was provided.
