NDOT: I-515 traffic to be affected by construction next week

I-515 will be reduced to three lanes in some sections next week, the Nevada Department of Transportation announced Thursday, as it released its construction schedule for the viaduct rehabilitation project through the end of July.

For the stretch of freeway near Desert Inn Road, northbound traffic will be reduced to three lanes Sunday and Monday from 9 p.m. to 5 a.m. Then, on Tuesday and Wednesday, the same stretch will be reduced to three lanes for southbound traffic, also from 9 p.m. to 5 a.m.

I-515 traffic to I-15 near Eastern Avenue is currently reduced to two lanes and will remain that way through late June. Desert Inn, Eastern and Maryland Parkway under I-515 are also reduced to two lanes in each direction until further notice.

Starting July 6, I-515 north between Eastern and I-15 will be reduced to two lanes for four weeks, and more closures are also expected.

Schedules are subject to change due to weather and other factors. For more information, visit www.i515project.com or on Facebook, Instagram and Twitter at @i515FixLV.
