Police investigate fatal downtown Las Vegas shooting on Fremont Street

One person was fatally shot and another wounded in an early Sunday morning shooting at the Fremont Street Experience in downtown Las Vegas, according to Metro Police.

During a fight between several people in the heavy tourist area, one of the suspects produced a gun and starting firing, police said in a news release.

Both victims were transported to University Medical Center, where one was pronounced dead. The second victim, an innocent bystander, suffered non-life-threatening injuries, police said.

Officers on foot patrol in the area heard gunshots and responded, police said.
