The writer of the June 19 letter “We need not need our guns” says he is sick of the “ban assault rifles because no one needs one” argument. He goes on to say that there are lot of things in America that no one needs and gives examples, one being “a house the size of a small country.”
I agree with the sentiment but when was the last time a house, of any size, went into a school and massacred 19 children and two teachers or ended the lives of innocent people who were grocery shopping?
The writer failed to give a reason why people need an assault weapon.
What if we banned them, collected them and shipped them to Ukraine, where they would be used for their intended purpose?
