Metro Police officer charged with lewd conduct in Las Vegas

A Metro Police officer has been charged with lewdness and has been suspended from duty as an investigation proceeds, according to a release from the department.

Officer Richard Landahl has been accused of committing a lewd act during a treatment session at a local chiropractic office. He has been charged with one count of open and gross lewdness, the release states.

A judge has issued a summons in lieu of arrest for Landahl, and the officer has been placed on suspension with pay pending the outcome of criminal and internal investigations.

Landahl has been with the department since 2017 and is assigned to Spring Valley Area Command.

He is set to appear in court Oct. 27.
