Police: Man found dead in Las Vegas flood channel after shooting

A man was found dead in a flood channel after a shooting behind a Las Vegas apartment complex, according to Metro Police.

The shooting was reported about 2:30 a.m. today in the 4700 block of Topaz Street, southeast of Eastern and Harmon avenues, police said.

An unidentified person shot the victim near the rear of the apartment complex, police said. The man was pronounced dead at the scene, police said.

The Clark County Coroner’s Office will release the victim's name, police said.
