The only current headlining female magician in Las Vegas is just getting started. Jen Kramer has been captivating audiences at the Westgate Cabaret for five years now, and the resort announced last week that her residency show has been extended. “It's been an amazing five years so far, and I can't wait to make many more magical memories with the wonderful team at Westgate,” Kramer said in a statement. Showtimes are 5 p.m. Friday through Sunday and tickets are available at westgatelasvegas.com.
“Battlebots: Destruct-A-Thon,” a robot-combat competition theater show inspired by the TV show of the same name, has also been extended. The BattleBots Arena hosts the show at Caesars Entertainment Studios behind Horseshoe Las Vegas, now running at 2 p.m. Saturdays and Sundays, and at 6 p.m. Wednesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays, continuing through September. When the Formula One Las Vegas Grand Prix touches down in November, there will be additional entertainment options on and around the Strip beyond the spectacular theaters and showrooms that are programming massive events. For example, the temporary T-Mobile Zone at Sphere, adjacent to the new venue east of the Venetian, will feature concerts from superstars J Balvin, Major Lazer and Mark Ronson, as well as performances from Blue Man Group and Cirque du Soleil, all on Nov. 16 through 18. “In keeping with the storied history of spectacular hospitality and entertainment that Las Vegas is known for, it has been imperative for us to deliver an extraordinary set of live experiences that will no doubt be the perfect match to an equally unforgettable race weekend,” Renee Wilm, CEO of Las Vegas Grand Prix, Inc., said in a statement. Fans with grandstands and general admission tickets in the East Harmon Zone, West Harmon Zone and T-Mobile Zone at Sphere will have access to the performances and will also enjoy all-inclusive food curated by Wolfgang Puck Catering throughout race weekend.
“Mad Apple” at New York-New York just passed its first anniversary and last week the Cirque du Soleil production celebrated 500 shows at the south Strip resort. The variety show that pays homage to the music, comedy and style of New York City continues to build steam, and like Cirque’s president of resident shows Eric Grilly says, it’s the first show of its kind for the iconic company. “Mad Apple brought a whole new audience to our entertainment group, so we’re thrilled that audiences love the production as much as we do,” Grilly said in a statement. The show goes on Friday through Tuesday at 7 and 9:30 p.m. and tickets and info are available at cirquedusoleil.com/mad-apple.

Natsumi Miyazaki, a synchronized swimmer turned Las Vegas performer who was part of the legendary “Le Rêve” at Wynn for five years, has been cast in Spiegelworld’s upcoming “The Hook,” set to open in Atlantic City on June 30. The acrobatic and aquatic artist also helped create “Apéro Show” with other locals who were suddenly without stages during COVID, and starred in that production at the Baobab Stage at Town Square. Miyazaki will be doing a pole act in “The Hook.”
