Saturday night, March 11, was not the first time David Blaine was injured while performing, but it was a significant incident. The illusionist was just starting his latest “In Spades” residency show at Resorts World Theatre by leaping from an 80-foot perch into a pile of boxes when he suffered a dislocated shoulder. According to a statement from AEG Presents, Blaine was treated onstage by several doctors from the audience, popping his right shoulder back into place and allowing him to continue with the rest of the production. “Even though I have trained much of my entire life, there is an implicit danger when you are pushing yourself to make possible what feels impossible,” Blaine said in the statement. “Saturday night I dislocated my shoulder jumping from the height of an 8-story building into some cardboard boxes. Luckily, there were four orthopedic doctors in the audience along with my EMS team who came up and took great care of me. I am humbled by the encouragement I received from the audience and was somehow able to finish the show.” He is set to return to Resorts World next April 28-29 and has six more dates scheduled into the summer.

Keith Urban, currently rocking out at his new residency at Zappos Theater at the Planet Hollywood resort, has added more 2023 concerts to his itinerary. Urban will be back in the big room for eight shows Nov. 1-18, but for now he’s playing there March 15, 17 and 18 before summer dates in June in July. Tickets can be found via Ticketmaster.
