Metro Police arrest suspect in Dec. homicide near Las Vegas Strip

Christopher Brownwood, 40, is accused in a December shooting death near the Las Vegas Strip.

Metro Police said they have identified a suspect in a December homicide near the Las Vegas Strip and have taken him into custody, according to a news release.

Christopher Brownwood, 40, was identified as the suspect and was taken into custody by Metro Police on Thursday, the release stated.

Officers initially found the victim suffering from an apparent gunshot wound in an apartment in the 3500 block of Paradise Road on Dec. 27, 2022, at about 10 a.m., according to the report. The man was pronounced dead at the scene.

Brownwood has been booked into Clark County Detention Center on a charge of open murder, police stated.
