Life Is Beautiful Day 3 Part 2

The Life Is Beautiful festival returns to downtown Las Vegas for its 10th year on Sept. 22-24 and early bird tickets for this year’s festivities go on sale Thursday at 10 a.m. The fest held a special locals-only presale earlier this year and early bird ticket pricing starts at $355 for general admission for the three-day event. Several acts have recently added dates to their Vegas engagements and tickets to the new shows go on sale this week: Drake added a second concert at T-Mobile Arena for September 2 after high demand for his September 1 show; Tesla is adding fall dates to its concert residency at the House of Blues on Sept. 29-30, and Oct. 4, 6 and 7; comedian Bill Burr has added a second show at Dolby Live at Park MGM on May 5; and Falling In Reverse, the metal band anchored by Las Vegas Native Ronnie Radke (no relation to this columnist), will play another night of its Popular Monster Tour at the Theater at Virgin on July 21.

Here are the rest of this week’s Las Vegas concert announcements and entertainment updates: ska-punks Save Ferris are headed downtown to play Rock the Block, the outdoor stage adjacent to Backstage Bar & Billiards, on May 4; electronic artist Gareth Emery is setting up shop for a residency at Area15, headlining the venue’s Neon Dream mini festival on May 27 and playing four more dates throughout the year starting with a May 5 show at the Portal; Matchbox Twenty is on the road again and will play the Chelsea on May 27; trap-soul innovator Bryson Tiller hits Brooklyn Bowl on June 7; Angela Aguilar brings her Piensa En Mi Tour to the Pearl Concert Theater on June 10; the doo-wop and soul lineup of The Drifters, The Cornell Gunter Coasters and The Platters play the M Pavilion at the M Resort on June 10; 3 Doors Down and Candlebox will perform at the Pearl on July 16; singer and songwriter Hozier returns to Las Vegas to perform at the Chelsea on Nov. 3; and country star Jon Pardi’s Mr. Saturday Night World Tour will visit Michelob Ultra Arena on Dec. 9.

Things are heating up at local music room Coop’s Cabaret as The Jive Aces, the first band to reach the final rounds of “Britain’s Got Talent,” will perform at the supper club-style spot on March 25. Tickets include a buffet and start at $25. Earlier in the week, Keith Thompson’s Piano Party kicks off its new regular gig on March 22, Jimmy Mulidore performs March 23 and Paris Red takes the stage March 24. Visit coopscabaret.com for more.

Potted Potter: The Unauthorized Harry Potter Experience – A Parody by Dan and Jeff” celebrated its 1,000th performance at the Magic Attic at Horseshoe Las Vegas on March 16, also announcing it has extended its magical run through December. The current stars, James Edwards and Nicholas Charles, were joined by the show’s creators and original stars, Daniel Clarkson and Jefferson Turner, who flew in from the U.K. for a huge celebration of the family-friendly, comedy-packed show’s success. It plays nightly except Wednesday at 8 p.m., and Saturday and Sunday at 2 p.m., with tickets at ticketmaster.com.
