Vegas Golden Knights’ Jonathan Marchessault celebrates after his goal against the Edmonton Oilers during first-period Stanley Cup second-round playoff game action in Edmonton, Alberta, Monday, May 8, 2023.

Golden Knights fans couldn't throw their hats onto the ice in celebration of Jonathan Marchessault's hat trick on Sunday.

So they settled for the front of his house instead.

Dozens of hats were placed on Marchessault's lawn Monday in recognition of the Golden Knights forward's hat trick to clinch Game 6 of their second-round series against the Edmonton Oilers.

Marchessault's wife, Alexandra, shared the scene on an Instagram story.

The Vegas winger's three goals all came in the second period of the Golden Knights' 5-2 win at Rogers Place on Sunday. It was the second career playoff hat trick in Marchessault's career.

Marchessault went the first seven games of the playoffs without scoring, but he finished with eight points in Games 3-6. He followed a two-goal game in Game 3 with three assists in Game 5, then the hat trick in Game 6.

That performance was one of many that propelled the Golden Knights to the Western Conference Final for the fourth time in six seasons. They will face the Dallas Stars in a rematch of the 2020 conference final. Game 1 is Friday (5:30 p.m., ESPN).
