A closeup of a "hair wreath" in the Lyon County Museum in Yerington, Wednesday, Oct. 23, 2013. Making art of human hair was a Victorian era custom for mouring. The hair of deceased loved ones was taken and woven into wreaths. This one by Margaret Nichol was completed in 1860. It was loaned to the museum by area native Elouise Kettenburg.
