‘Plant World Spring Growing Day’

Las Vegas Mayor Carolyn Goodman was in attendance to proclaim March 1 as “Plant World Spring Growing Day” and to honor the start of growing season with a ribbon-cutting at Plant World during its inaugural Spring Growing event Saturday, March 1, 2014. Additional activities included a kids flower potting session and an introduction to growing edible gardens. Proceeds from sales during the event benefited Create a Change Now, a nonprofit that educates children on healthy eating habits by building edible gardens at at-risk elementary schools in Clark County School District.
