From the school

Information is provided to parents in several ways. This past February Parent Link was made operational for the school and will become the standard for all Clark County School District schools starting in the 2008/209 academic year. The school continues to post information on the website and provides a mechanism for students, parents, and the community to communicate directly with the staff. The Parent Advocacy Committee (PAC) meets monthly to exchange and share ideas. During these meetings Program Area Leaders and Department Chairs discuss their areas of study. Six times a year we mail home the parent newsletter which includes dates for open houses, community nights and freshmen orientation. Ninth and tenth grade orientations and building tours were held on August 8th and August 9th. An open house was held on September 18th for this years enrolled students. Two community nights were held on January 31st and February 6th for the community to tour the school, ask questions and meet the staff. Over 3,000 individuals attended the community night events. Lastly, several of the teachers maintain websites for their classes which provides valuable information to the students and their parents.
