As long as there are hooker/stripper discounts.

Might be a waste of money if you don't live where you can use it, but it will relieve congestion and carbon footprint of I-15, speed travel there and increase travel here.
Unlikely. Usually riders of light rail are the same people who ride other forms of mass transit. There is usually no net gain in mass transit riders, thus no actual benefit for traffic reduction or a reduction in carbon emissions.
A better, cheaper way to do both would be to eliminate HOV lanes and make them toll lanes. Quick moving traffic keeps congestion low and moving cars put out less carbon emissions.
Again, Mr. Patrick Gibbons with his wild-west mentality. Look into the future, sir: mass transportation is the best way to reduce traffic, reduce carbon emissions, quit supporting those oil producing countries who don not like us.
THey should look at how Vancouver, BC, Canada did their light-train. Works great and isn't ghetto like the Los Angeles one. =)
As long as they leave room for expansion, I am all for it. Personally, I would ride the rail over driving anyday. Better for the environment and I would spend less on gas, which by the way will skyrocket again. As of now, it serves no purpose for me since I live near Summerlin. But, it is a good addition for the valley.
It should be a top priority. We need much more
public transportation. They want to start charging for express lanes on I15 which will of course require more construction for flyover ramps and more congestion. Get people out of their cars with light rail(route already exists) and more frequent bus lines.
