No mention from the New Super about bloated administration? No mention about more than half of the CCSD employees do NOT work in a classroom?
No mention of the large number of licensed teachers who do not work with any students?

More of the same. Blame the people who have to implement failing policies. Don't blame the MANAGEMENT that develops failing policies.

Rusty--1 in 5 CCSD students who TOOK the exam passed the exam. Not all CCSD grads take the exam. If you looked at the academic history of the students who TOOK the exam, 1 in 5 might be an impressive result. Not too many high flyers are signing up to be Army grunts out of high school.

And I agree with your last statement. More money will not help this system. Better use of the money they already have and better Leaders who actually focus on educating students will.

Students are required to take 4 years of math in high school. This test was administered to Sophomores before the end of their 2nd year. You could say that 32% of the students are proficient in less than 2 years concerning information they are given 4 years to learn.

Kudos to those students!

It's sad that this is considered a news story. When children are given special treatment because they happen to be great at a sport, you can't be surprised when they sometimes prove too immature to handle the special treatment.

If the truth about how Gorman has handled this child's past and current behavior infractions were to come out, then we might actually have a real news story.

Instead, we will just be fed another Sun Propoganda piece about Bishop Gorman athletics.

If I had to guess, I'd say that Vegas Dlight is more likely to be the attorney looking for a payday than he is to be a resident of NLV hoping the pig farm goes away.

Houses in the area are sold at about 30% of the value of similar houses in more desirable areas. The reasons for the lower costs are obvious. Location, Location, Location. You get what you pay for.
