The Christian Science Monitor
Since retaking control in 2010, House Republicans have aggressively cut spending at the State Department in general and embassy security in particular. Chaffetz and Issa and their colleagues voted to pay for far less security than the State Department requested in 2011 and again this year.
Is that responsible for the tragedy in Benghazi? Probably not, at least not entirely. Usually when security goes wrong, it's down to a cascade of small failures piling up. It's a bit rich to complain about a lack of US security personnel at diplomatic missions on the one hand, while actively working to cut the budget to pay for US security personnel at diplomatic missions on the other.

The Wisconsin State Journal
The GOP-controlled House cut embassy security funding by $128 million in fiscal 2011 and $331 million in fiscal 2012, later negotiating to restore $88 million.
Then-Secretary of State Hillary Clinton had warned the House Republicans the cuts to her department would be "detrimental to America's national security."
Yes, both Ryan, R-Janesville, and U.S. Rep. Darrell Issa, R-Calif., voted against funding embassy security positions.

February 14, 2011
Secretary of State Hillary Clinton emerged from a meeting with House Speaker John Boehner (R-Ohio) sharply critical of proposed Republican cuts to the State Department budget, warning they "will be detrimental to America's national security."
Republicans shrugged off the criticism. They had just won control of the House, it was time make some changes. And those changes included cutting the sort of security that might've prevented the Benghazi disaster.

How about Issa and the Republicans investigate that?

I would like to see a list of Republican accomplishments since 2000. I will even provide the post-it.

What part of your constitutional rights would be violated by requiring background checks for gun purchases? Duh!
