Hope !

1. We won't have to wait for a breakthrough in battery technology.

Tesla EV battery cost is expected to be at 1/3 of the existing price.

"If (Tesla's battery structure) works, we won't have to wait for a breakthrough in battery technology to develop a relatively cheap electric vehicle. It could be as low as one-third of the cost of batteries being developed by car makers, because (laptop) batteries are produced in massive volumes."
Executive Vice President Takeshi Uchiyamada who heads Toyota's research and development claimed.

2. To the best of knowledge, the share of renewable energy in the U.S. in 2008 stood at approximately mere two percent, but now it is within sight of 11 percent.

Maintaining the current pace, the U.S. could overtake EU members by 2020.

As such, it's not that challenging.

Plus, the U.S. is unbeatable in software tech that functions as a human brain and is fundamental to renewable energy, smart grid.

1. The most wasteful structure on the planet like no coordinated preventive care program waiting until people get ill, a pay for each and every service reimbursement and frequent readmissions, no e-medical record and deaths, crushing litigations and the more profits via the unnecessary procedures, and the most inefficient paper billing systems imaginable, overpriced pharmaceuticals, bloated insurance companies, medial fraud, exorbitant costs by the tragic ER visits etc.

2. Equation (By decade) :

$583bn (the revenue package) + $80bn (so-called doughnut hole) + $155bn (savings from hospitals) + $167bn (ending the unnecessary subsidies for insurers) + some 129bn(mandate-related fine) + some $277bn (ending medical fraud, a minimum of 3% , the combined Medicare and Medicaid cost of $923.5bn per year, as of July 2009) + the reduced cost of ER visits (Medicare covers some 40% of the total) + beyond.....

3. An incredible number of young ones were uninsured. The ACA adds those people to the rolls, it will contribute to lowering overall costs.

4. Without ACA, health costs will skyrocket.

"2 types of 'essential' security people need; health and economic"

1. Yes, the responsibility of government is to make people secure.

That explains why the vast majority of the PEOPLE wanted the public option that the House passed and a majority of the Senate favored, but it couldn't get past the Republican filibuster.

2. Among the thirty-three industrialized, democratic countries in the world, only America has no universal health care.

Why do all the leading countries require participation in a universal plan?
Because every other country understands that health care is not only a basic right, it is also a necessity, a sane policy protecting the country from plagues and epidemics but also from bankruptcy by providing modern and uniform health care for its people.

Correction

1. Medical cost will soon explode because of Mad Cows, the insurers (set up a monopoly via consolidation violating an anti-trust law in the first place = Health Care Spil)

That will hit state budgets hard in about 2 years.

That means less money for the higher ed programs in the state.

Hope the koolaid crowd is happy.
