Also the problem you failed to recognize is that this inst just about GOLD. ITS about GEOTHERMAL, GYPSUM, DIATOMITE, and a ton of other rocks. PLAN doesnt care though, they didnt think this through. Aside from the gold this is going to effect clean energy and building materials. Do you have anyone in your family or know some one who works in construction? say good bye to their job. this will result in skyrocketing cost for clean energy, and labor. why do you think danny thompson is opposed to PLAN's efforts? because it is going to kill jobs and our state economy. Not to mention, it wont save teachers. Our budget gap is in the Billions this would only provide 200(something) million. Just remember, THIS IS ABOUT MORE THAN GOLD. it is about BLUE collar and GREEN collar jobs. And when push comes to shove.... PLAN doesn't care about your job. that much is clear. How about a broad based business tax instead of just taxing a one trick pony?

once again this issue rears its head... what has happened to compassion. what will the broke and out of work miners do when they have to extend their cup and say "Please sir, may I have some more?" perhaps PLAN will fill their cup. What about the broke out of work construction workers because building cost have gone up due to burdensome taxes on gypsum and other mined building materials. Perhaps we should aim for higher unemployment, maybe that is PLAN's next noble goal.

Okay michael say for one minute that this passed.... it wont take effect for three or four years and it seems that the actual revenue gained from the PLAN's new tax scheme wouldn't close our budget gap. Maybe Danny Thompson doesnt like this PLAN tax scheme because he knows people will lose their jobs and Nevada wont benefit. Not to mention Geothermal will be gutted and left for dead. Brilliant plan, PLAN!
