Big congratulations to Palazzo star chef Charlie Trotter, who married his longtime love public relations executive Rochelle Smith today at the luxurious One & Only resort in the Maldives. They were kind enough to send me this iPhone photo from the middle of the Indian Ocean. Amazing that the iPhone works there but not at CityCenter!

*After last night’s grand opening premiere of Frank Marino’s Divas Las Vegas at Imperial Palace, hometown entertainer Frank Marino received his second star on the Las Vegas Walk of Stars. He is the first person to have two stars on the famed boulevard, one at the Riviera where he performed for two decades, and the other will go outside his new Imperial Palace home at center Strip. We’ll have a full photo report of Frank’s premiere next week.

*Mayor Oscar Goodman has donated a package to the Nevada Public Broadcasting auction. One person can win lunch at Chicago Joe’s with the mayor and then take a private tour of The Las Vegas Museum of Organized Crime and Law Enforcement (aka the Mob Museum), plus receive a copy of the documentary Mob Law and Of Rats and Men signed by our merry mayor himself.

*Yesterday, we exclusively confirmed that Dick Arthur’s XTreme Magic was coming to a close at the Tropicana as we first rumored. Now we can confirm another one of our rumors: Men of X will close at Hooters Casino on March 21. Both shows are likely to reappear elsewhere.

*Steve Wynn’s new Encore Beach Club and Surrender Nightclub will debut Memorial Day weekend and is accepting applications tomorrow for 400 jobs at the day and night entertainment complex. The 60,000-square-foot venue is looking for cocktail servers, bartenders, hosts, promoters, lifeguards, pool attendants and security. Model candidates will be interviewed in swimwear and have to present a zed card/headshot upon check-in. All other applicants need a fitted T-shirt or tank top. Nice not to have a job interview in a three-piece suit!
