Happy Feet 2
Tonight’s the night Patti Stanger of Bravo’s “Millionaire Matchmaker” sets up a date for Imperial Palace headliner Frank Marino of “Divas Las Vegas.” The show airs at 9 p.m., so Frank is hosting a screening party at 6 in the casino’s sports book for the East Coast telecast, as he will be onstage performing during the West Coast airing.
Although Patti won’t be at the party, series stars Destin Pfaff and Rachel Federoff are scheduled to attend. Patti began the TV series, based on her L.A. agency for millionaires, in 2007. Frank discloses that an 18-year-relationship ended because of work, but they remain friends -- and that’s why he turned to Patti’s service.
Check out a sneak preview of tonight’s episode on Bravo’s Web site. Another advance revelation: Frank dresses up in drag as Patti for part of the episode!
*In a new travel survey from Expedia in Canada, 80 percent of their travelers said they head here for shows and not gaming. “Expedia.ca has always considered Las Vegas to be one of those ‘can't miss' travel destinations thanks to the unrivaled experiences the city has to offer. Based on the results of this survey and feedback from our travelers, we can see that without a doubt Canadians agree with us,” said Sean Shannon, Expedia managing director.
About 64 percent put shopping as a must do. Those polled in Quebec chose Caesars Palace headliner Celine Dion as their No. 1 star favorite, while in the overall Canadian polling, the honor went to Shania Twain, who begins her Caesars Palace residency in December 2012.
Incidentally, tomorrow’s edition of the Canadian magazine 7 Days has a Celine cover story and 25 inside photos of manager husband Rene Angelil and she celebrating the 1st birthday of their twins Nelson and Eddy. Expect to see Celine named as the major headline star at the annual Jamaica Jazz and Blues Festival from Jan. 26-28.
*Hollywood movie executives are hoping that the sequel “Happy Feet 2 will be a Thanksgiving and holiday season blockbuster with kids when it’s released Nov. 18 to counter the expected blockbuster “Twilight: Breaking Dawn, Part 1.”
