The first quarter of 2012 is over, and Las Vegas continues to be the platinum playground where Hollywood, music and sports stars work, party and play.

Andre Johnson of the Houston Texans and Santana Moss of the Washington Redskins checked out the Das EFX show at Lavo in the Palazzo. NFL Hall of Fame running back Marshall Faulk also partied at Lavo and sent a round of drinks to DJ Crooked.

Scottish soccer manager and former star player Gordon David Strachan attended Rod Stewart’s resident show at the Colosseum in Caesars Palace. Actor Brian Baumgartner (Kevin in NBC’s “The Office”) partied with pals at a dance-floor table at Surrender in Steve Wynn’s Encore.

Designer Jean Paul Gaultier watched three Cirque du Soleil shows in a two-day visit to the Strip: “Zumanity” at New York-New York (his second time; his costumes are featured in the show), “Viva Elvis” at Aria and “Ka” at MGM Grand. At each show, he met with cast members, and promised “Ka” cast members that he would return.

Lorena Peril, our gorgeous headline singer and MC of “Fantasy” at the Luxor, sang the national anthem for the L.A. Clippers at Staples Center. It was her first NBA performance; she’d previous performed the national anthem four times for the L.A. Kings.

Boxing legend and new MGM Grand headliner Mike Tyson had a photo shoot at the gold lion in the main lobby to promote his one-man show “Mike Tyson: Undisputed Truth -- Live on Stage,” which runs at Hollywood Theater from April 13-18.

“Saturday Night Live” head writer and standup comic Seth Meyers dined at BLT Burger in the Mirage before his “Aces of Comedy” show, while “SNL” cohort Rachel Dratch attended Cirque’s “The Beatles’ Love” just steps away.

“Entertainment Tonight” anchor Samantha Harris and her husband attended “Love” during a weekend couples getaway. The couple has seen “O” at the Bellagio and “Ka.” Singer Tinie Tempah dined at Tao in the Venetian before taking the nightclub stage to perform his hits, including “Written in the Stars,” “Pass Out” and “Miami 2 Ibiza” as partygoers sang along. Comedian Carlos Mencia dined at Lavo with family and friends, and they enjoyed penne seafood alfredo, roasted Chilean sea bass and chicken parmigiano.

Chippendales at the Rio guest host Jake Pavelka of “The Bachelor” watched “Absinthe” at Caesars Palace and posed for photographs with cast members. Cody Collins was visited by his former Lonestar bandmates at “Country Superstars” at Golden Nugget. Rapper Lloyd Banks took over LAX for a 1 a.m. set of his hits “I’m So Fly,” “Karma,” “Beamer, Benz or Bentley” and “On Fire.”

Singer Paul Wall celebrated his birthday at Gallery Nightclub in Planet Hollywood. Dressed in a black snapback hat, a black T-shirt and gray Levis, “The Ice Man” was presented with a three-tier, multicolored birthday cake as revelers cheered and sang “Happy Birthday.” And singer Mike Posner performed his hits at Surrender.
