Singer-songwriter Cee Lo Green hosted and performed at 1 OAK in the Mirage on Friday night/early Saturday; the new coach on NBC’s “The Voice” performed a set around 1:45 a.m. that included his mega-smash “F*ck You” (the radio-friendly and “Glee” version is “Forget You”).
Resident DJ Karma started the revelry behind the turntables while Cee Lo, who is about to become a Strip headliner with his show “Loberace” at Planet Hollywood in August, partied at a VIP table. Also at 1 OAK: UFC fighter Urijah Faber, who battles Dominick Cruz here in July.
Before his nightclub duties, Cee Lo led a press conference for the 2012 Billboard Music Awards during the day at Caesars Palace. The awards are Sunday, May 20, at MGM Grand Garden Arena, and he’ll be one of the performers, it was announced by Billboard.com Editor M. Tye Comer at the gathering also attended by former Mayor Oscar Goodman and showgirls from “Jubilee!” at Bally’s.
Confirming Robin Leach’s report Thursday the day before the press conference, “Modern Family” Emmy Award winners Ty Burrell and Julie Bowen (Phil and Claire Dunphy) will co-host the BMAs.
Joining Green as performers: Justin Bieber, Carrie Underwood, LMFAO and the Wanted. BMA finalists include Adele, Lil’ Wayne, Rihanna and Lady Gaga. Tickets for the 2012 BMAs are now on sale at Ticketmaster.com and MGMGrand.com.
