Celebrity preview: Barbra Streisand, Bill Maher, MMA and World Food Championships

Barbra Streisand

PR Web

Barbra Streisand.

Il Volo

With superstar Barbra Streisand leading the parade, it’s a music, muscle and comedy kind of weekend. Barbra’s sentimental journey at MGM Grand Garden Arena tonight also features the pop-tenor teen trio talents of Il Volo and trumpet titan Chris Botti, who recently thrilled when he performed his one-man show at Smith Center for the Performing Arts.

Rival comedy kings Tim Allen, Ray Romano and Kevin James keep laughter alive, while Bill Maher offers topical political humor for two nights at the Orleans ahead of Election Day Tuesday.

There are showdowns of a different kind among would-be chefs at Adam Richman’s inaugural $300,000 World Food Championships and Las Vegas Foodie Fest at Silverton Casino Lodge with its outdoor food trucks and carnival games.

Check out the ferocious firepower of the mixed martial artists in the new World Series of Fighting at Planet Hollywood. Add in an Italian family circus at Smith Center downtown, and we have the most eclectic entertainment lineup on Earth.

We’ve tried to make sense of everything Streisand to MMA knockouts to competing food attractions in a tasty menu we refer to affectionately each week as the Royal Robin Rundown:
