Fresh from his well-received surprise appearance at the 2012 iHeartRadio Music Festival at MGM Grand Garden Arena on Friday night, South Korean, global and YouTube sensation Psy celebrated his hit “Gangnam Style” at Tao in the Venetian on Saturday night.

Rapper, singer-songwriter and producer Psy, 34 and whose career spans a decade, donned a collared shirt, checkered pants and shades on the red carpet. The New Year’s Eve baby dined with friends at Tao and met LMFAO’s Redfoo, who was dining nearby. Psy invited him to join them, and they did sake bombs and the “Gangnam Style” dance.

Upstairs in the nightclub, the group held court in several VIP booths; Redfoo and his Party Rock Crew were seated beside them. Partygoers went crazy when DJ Vice’s announced Psy’s arrival, and revelers clamored to snap a photograph of him as he stood atop a booth.

Glow sticks and Psy face cutouts filled the nightclub as he took to the stage and performed “Gangnam Style,” and the crowd went wild dancing and singing along to the Korean-language tune. The crowd chanted for an encore, and Psy obliged! At one point, he shouted, “Tao, you’re f*cking awesome! Thank you for the support!”

When Psy returned to his table on the dance floor, confetti canons, a bottle fairy and a panda presented him with a cake congratulating him on “Gangnam Style” for breaking the Guinness World Record for most views and likes in YouTube history.

DJ Vice played a “Gangnam Style” and “Party Rock” mash-up in which Psy did the “Gangnam Style” dance while Redfoo shuffled side by side (every day, he’s shuffling). Thanks to Al Powers of Powers Imagery for his photo gallery of Psy. Gangnam style!
