Pop music royals and chart-hit leaders Prince, Justin Bieber, Bruno Mars and Taylor Swift are the first four superstar names to be set for the 2013 Billboard Music Awards live from MGM Grand Garden Arena on May 19 and airing on ABC.
The news follows the official confirmation Wednesday of The Rolling Stones “50 & Counting” tour stop at MGM Grand just eight days (May 11) before the 2013 BMAs. Latin sensation Miguel also is on the list of first names, with many more promised.
A highlight of the May 19 awards will be the presentation of the Billboard Icon Award to world-renowned music legend Prince, who was a surprise guest of Mary J. Blige at last year’s iHeart Radio Music Festival, also at MGM Grand.
