2013 Midsummer Lingerie Carnival

Body paint, glitter, large and bright feathers, and a lot of flesh.

It’s just another weekend in Las Vegas, but in this case, it was the 2013 Midsummer Lingerie Carnival at the Palms Pool on Saturday night, the seventh incarnation of the sexy nighttime poolside party.

There were dazzling and daring costumes, and the fairer sex was much more adventurous with outfits (garters, lace and sky-high stilettos) versus the men (silk pajamas and boxer briefs).

Add horror-film actress Danielle Harris — local body painter Kelly Belmonte painted a baby-blue lingerie bra and panty set on Harris, complete with fishnets, a garter, a rhinestone-belly chain and a feathered headband — masked partygoers, fire-throwing dancers, floats, a $7,000 sexy-costume contest and an open bar, and it’s an only-in-Las Vegas celebration.

The SyFy Channel was on-site to capture footage for an upcoming body-painting series scheduled to air this year. Thanks to Mona Shield Payne for her photo gallery and Christopher Rauschnot @24kMedia on Twitter for his video posted on YouTube.
